5 years!!!

5 years ago today Andy and I were on a beach in Jamaica with 25 of our closest family and friends saying "I Do!"
That was one of the best days of my life! The white sand, the crystal clear ocean, the brightly colored resort, the flowers, the steel drum band, the man.......everything was perfect!
For many that know me I can be fairly high strung at times :) Especially with major events. But somehow on this day I was the most calm and serene I had ever been. I think my family was totally freaked out by my new zen state ;) Just months earlier my sister got married and I was a total wreck. There was something extremely emotional about watching your little sister get married. But on my wedding day I just sat and got my hair and makeup done and looked out at the ocean and smiled because I knew this was exactly where I was supposed to be marrying exactly who I was supposed to marry. There was something extremely freeing about the matter of factness I felt.
So on this day I would like to thank my husband for putting up with me for what feels like and eternity to him ;)
Honestly though, he has taught me to stop and get out of my mind so much and enjoy my surroundings. He has taught me that sometimes being quiet can speak volumes. And he has taught me that it is the little things in love that matter. We are truly yin and yang, but it works for us! I love him with all my heart and look at our little boy everyday and hope that he grows up to be just like his daddy!
