Big Boy Eating

So Jameson has started using utensils and this week he has decided he is too big for his highchair and is sitting at the table........**sigh** my little baby is becoming a boy :(

JD-18 Months Hudson- 3 months

Here are the stats for both boys from there checkups

Jameson is 26 lbs. 10 oz. and 31 inches tall


Hudson is 14 lbs. 9 oz. and 22 inches tall

Bumbo Boy!

Well Mr. Hudson has met the sweet blue seat called BUMBO and after a few minutes of confusion he settled in to love it!! His maiden voyage happened on April 8th!

"Wow, what is this thing between my legs and why am I sitting up so tall!!!!"


"I don't know about this seat maybe if I just wiggle my butt around a little bit to find the right spot........."


"AAAHHHH there it is!"

Jameson's Joggers

On Saturday April 9th my family and friends braved the rain and 40 degree weather and participated in the March of Dimes walk. A month prior to the walk I started a team in honor of Jameson called "Jameson's Joggers". Over the course of the month my team and I raised $1110.00 for the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes is an amazing organiztion that helps families of premature babies and babies born with life threatening conditions. We were so touched by the team at St. Joseph's Hospital NICU that we felt a strong desire to give back as they had given so much to us.
It was a day filled with hope, sadness, joy, sorrow, gratitude and comfort. We were all convinced that the raindrops were all of the baby angels from heaven showering us with love :)
This will be a annual event for the Kirkland's and I hope next year we can double our goal!!!
A big thank you to everyone that donated to Jameson's Joggers! We were humbled by all of your generosity!

Growing like a weed-10 weeks

While at the doctor on Friday, Hudson weighed in at 13 lbs. 7 oz. He gained almost 2 lbs. in exactly 2 weeks!!!! The kid eats like its his last meal :) Here are some pics from his 10th week of life!

First Trip to the Sick Side

Poor Huddy woke up from a nap on Friday afternoon with his eye covered in goop! I thought for sure he had pink eye and was wondering how he contracted it. Luckily Dr. Lisa was still at the office and had us come in immediately because she said it did not sound like pink eye. So Andy took Hudson to the doctor while I stayed home with JD. It turned out he had a cold in his eye (Andy and I both had colds this past week) She gave us an ointment to put on his eye 3x a day. It looked better the next morning but we are still keeping a close eye on his eye :)

Crazy fact about this trip to the doctor........this was the first time either JD or Hudson had to go to the sick side of the office!!! I think that is pretty amazing considering JD will be 18 months old next week!!!
