First Trip to the Fire Station

Today we had a play date scheduled with my neighbor and her son.  She had the awesome idea to stop into the local fire station to see if they would give us a tour..............and they DID!!!  We spent about 45 minutes at the brand new station a few miles from our house.  2 firefighters showed us around the entire station!!!  We all got to sit in the trucks, turn the lights on, open and close the big garage doors, play basketball, check out the gear room, hold the infrared warm body locator device thing etc etc.....  The boys were in heaven!  Thank you to Firefighter Berry and Graham for showing us a slice of life at one of Seattle's finest stations!

The Beach is a blast and a beast

Summer has officially begun in Seattle which means beach season is upon us!  Last year the boys were not in to the beach scene but this year is a differnet story............thank goodness!  Having 2 toddlers is sometimes challenging to burn all the energy necessary for good naps and good night sleep.  Sun and water are 2 things that guarantee the oh so needed slumber.  Two weeks in to this glorious season and many beach trips we had the worst thing possible happen..............Jd was stung by a jellyfish!!!!  Luckily it was not a bad sting (no lacerations) and he was back to normal a few hours after.  But my sweet first born is not the forgive and forget type so I am leery but hopeful that he will find his love of the beach and ocean again and our cheap day time trips will resume. Keep your fingers crossed and pray you will see more beach photos in the future and not just park pics ;)
Pretty much sums up our little guy :)

Jd was a fan of writing in the sand!

Super dirty sand!!!

Stroller Strides class at Alki Beach

Everyone likes a little sand in their chips right? :)

Alki Beach time!!!!

Lunch time!

Madison Beach is on Lake Washington so it is a tad warmer, mama liked that :)

After the jellyfish incident :( Soaking his hands in vinegar like a champ!

Apparently I stress bake :/

After a nap and mama's cookies he is all better :)

The Boys & Their Ladies

Most of my girlfriends here have daughters which means my boys are Big Pimpin' most of the time :)  Here are a few of the lovelies we spend our days with!

Meet Miss Phoebe, she is a tad older than Jameson so watch out in the future, he might be a cougar hunter ;)

This is Audrey, she is a sassy blond that captured Jd's eye very early on
This is Eliana, she can hang with my boys through any mess or mischief but she knows just how to use her girl power when she needs it :)

And Isabella is the sassy, funny, flirty one! She is going to be fun to watch in the teen years ;)
And Miss Olivia (in the striped dress) she is smart and unsure about the boys. But her toothy smile and sweet disposition can light up a room

We love our girls and I must say because I am so far from my sweet niece these little ones are filling some of the void in my heart <3

The Adventures of Jd and his Balance Bike

6/9/12

For Jameson's 2nd birthday his Mimi and Poppa got him a balance bike.  He has finally reached the appropriate height to ride and he is loving it!!!  He calls it his "yellow motorcycle" :)

Auntie Des & Gio Visit 06/12

We were so fortunate to have Auntie Des and Gio come and visit us for 10 days!!! We did not get blessed with stellar weather but we made the most with what we had. Although Desiree was loving the rain and enjoying being out of the AZ summer heat :)  We did lots of kiddo activities such as going to a local community center and playing during their toddler gym time, lots of parks, lots of walks and of course ice cream!!!! We miss you both so much and can't wait for your next visit!!!

Nana's Visit 06/12
