First Ferry Ride

A few weekends ago we took our first ferry ride to Bainbridge Island. My best friend Desiree's entire extended family lives here in the Seattle area. They have been nice enough to adopt us into their family. Desiree's cousin got married and we were invited to the reception which was on Bainbridge Island. It turned out to be a beautiful Seattle summer day, 75 and sunny!!! We drove the truck onto the ferry and then walked up to the deck to take in the views and wow were the they spectacular! There is something so enchanting about being on a boat pulling away from a skyline. After a nice drive through the countryside we arrived at the reception, which was at the bride's parents house. This place was something out of a movie. As you drove up the single lane road which dead ended into their property you saw the crisp white tents, flowers and picturesque barn. There were all kinds of animals for JD to be entertained with although his favorite thing were the fresh raspberries right off the vine :)

Pulling up to the Seattle Ferry Terminal

Bye Bye Seattle!

If you look very closely you can see MT. Rainier in the background. It is HUGE in person!!!

West Seattle, this is where we live

The Raspberry Chicken Fiasco :)

"Dada this is fun picking and eating all these raspberries!"

"Mama wants me to feed some raspberries to the chickens."

"Seriously, I really have to give up MY raspberries to THESE chickens?"

"I don't know about this???"

"HAHHAAHA, that was awesome, let's do it again!!!"

Hey Batter, Batter, Batter.....swing batter!

We were over at some friend's house a few weeks ago and JD picked up a bat and hit a ball of a tee like he had been doing it his whole life. So out we went to purchase the first bat, ball, tee combo. Here are his skills at work :)
P.S. He hits both right and left handed, lets hope that sticks :)

Hudson's First Swing

While my mom was in town we took the boys to our favorite park, Ercollini Park! Usually, by myself, I am so preoccupied with Jameson that Hudson is either in the stroller or in the Ergo carrier on me. When my mom put Huddy in the swing, it took me awhile to realize this was his first time in a swing!!!

Seattle Aquarium

One Saturday we headed downtown to the Seattle Aquarium. We thought JD was going to love this, but to our disappointment he is a little young to appreciate this place :( All he really wants to do is run so this was a tad too confined for him :) But nonetheless we explored the Aquarium and snapped a few photos.

Me and Huddy in front of the otter exhibit

This was a huge dome shaped tank. So the sharks were swimming over and around you!!!

JD did think the jellyfish were pretty cool :)

You could touch all the sea life in here! JD did NOT find this cool :)

Beautiful day at the pier

Big Boy Bed

We decided when we moved that we were going to switch Jameson to a "Big Boy Bed" right when we got here. So that is exactly what we did! First night in Seattle he slept in his new bed and he loved it ! We put all his Care Bears on the headboard book shelves and that was all he needed. He sleeps about 11 hours a night and never gets out! We are keeping out fingers crossed this continues.

Huddy loves big brother's big bed too :)
