The Physicality of Being A Boy???

Being that I am a girl and just had one sister I do not fully understand the need for "rough housing"! And I really thought I had a few more years before this physical pain phase of boyhood set in. But OH NO it has already started and mama is sure there will be a broken arm or leg or tooth through the lip shortly. There have certainly been bruised heads, arms, legs, and egos :) Here are a few pics and videos

Playroom Overhaul!

Another Pinterest project in the Kirkland house :)  If you do not know what Pinterest is keep it that way, otherwise you will spend your weekdays creating projects for your weekends :) Anyways, we overhauled the playroom this week. Made a couple trips to Ikea for the shelving and boxes and one trip to Joann's for the fabric and foam and one last trip to Home Depot for the MDF board under the bench seat.  The wall art was from things we had around the house. The drawing of the boys was a Christmas gift from Mimi and Papa. The original artwork by Jd and Huddy was another Pinterest inspired project. And I already had the frames. Here is the finished product!

AZ Trip April 2012 Part 3

While in Phoenix it was definitely pool weather! We were there on a record breaking day of 106 degrees!!!  It was HOT, but the pool was cool :)

My BUNCO friends!!! Thank you to Kim, Ranee, Des, Mom, Lyss and of course the hostess Maritza for taking time out of your busy schedules to visit with me! And a big thank you to Miss Gail for watching the boys that night so I could get some much needed "Not a Mama night!" :)

And here we are at the Phx airport so ready to get this flight over with and see DADA!!!!  It was such a fun trip! Can't wait for them all to come to Seattle this summer!!!! hint hint :)

AZ Trip April 2012 Part 2

My 2 best friends, Desiree and Allyssa, and their babies and Allyss'a's mom came up to Prescott one day to get out of the desert sun. We had such an awesome day! The boys were so funny together and Allyssa's mom, Jeff, was cute enough to get them all matching outfits :) Although Jd wanted no part of the picture but the 3 little guys posed for their goofy moms and grandmas :)

Gio(11 months) Hudson(15 months) Cole(10 months)

Sweet Cole is the Dog Whisperer, he loved my mom's dog Barney!

And Gio was all about the crawling and toys!!!

A few days later we all got together at Desiree's parents house in Cave Creek, AZ. Michael, Des's Dad, anchored this swing from the center of a huge pergula outside. The swing goes in all directions and the little boys loved it!!!

Me and my girls :)

AZ Trip April 2012 Part 1

What an amazing trip back to Arizona me and boys just got back from! We went for 10 days and spent about a week in Prescott, AZ and a few days down in Phoenix. In the last few months both my sister's family and my Dad have relocated to Prescott. My sis's husband, Steve, got an amazing job oppurtunity and my Dad retired and was sick of the valley heat! My mom already has a cabin in Prescott, so basically my entire family is now in the pine country!!! Prescott is a beautiful little city about 2 hours north of Phoenix. The boys love being up there because the off road vehicles are gased up at all times for rides and Jd loves nothing more than to ride in Pap Pap's rhino and to watch Mason ride his quad! It is also about 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix, so outdoor play and sunshine in a plenty. Here are some pics of the first half of our trip! Cousin time!!! This was the first time they had seen each other since Thanksgiving! They were all so cute and excited :)
Rhino riding with Pap, Jd's favorite activity while in Prescott
Yet another fabulous birthday celebration for me :)
Hudson enjoying the deck at my Mom and Gail's cabin
The view from my sister's deck!
Took a trip to the Heritage Park Zoo in Prescott with the boys and Nana! This goat's name was JD also!!!
We got to watch the zookeepers feed the tiger, it was crazy!!!
Hudson needed a little personal time after the tiger feeding experience ;)
"You have a baby.....in a bar!" :)
We were so lucky that Mason had his first baseball game of the season while we were there. Jd thought he was on the team as well!
Also, Mason and Mylie had their Spring Program for school. They did so great and looked good too!!!
