Little Brother

Just thought I would throw in a cute pic of Hudson in his outfit from Uncle Ace, Aunt D'Ann and cousin Aralyn

And then a not so cute one :)

Jd's First Haircut

Jameson got his first haircut today! It really goes much smoother if their stylist is their Nana :) He did great and we got a nice chunk of hair for the baby book.

After his haircut we came home and we had lunch Al fresco at his picnic table!

Hudson's first doctor's appt

On Monday we went to Dr. Pepka's office for Hudson's first pediatrician appt. He did great! He was born on Tuesday at 7 lbs but went down to 6 lbs. 4 oz. by Friday then by Monday he was back up to 6 lbs. 11.5 oz!!! So the dr. was very happy with the weight gain. And I was relieved because I am nursing Hudson and you never know how much they are getting. I did not nurse Jameson I pumped so this is a whole new experience for me. Nursing is much easier I have to say! Anyways Hudson looked stellar and we do not have to go back to the doctor until he is a month old!

And after our big day out this is how our little man or should I say "pea in a pod" spent his afternoon :)

Oh that smile!

We had Hudson's newborn pictures taken on Thursday and we can't wait to see the final results. But to tease us a little Doni put one picture on her blog. And how cute it is!!! Copy and paste the link below to see our Happy Hudson (sorry hyperlink wasn't working)

Introducing......

Hudson Wayne Kirkland!!!
Hudson was born 1/18/11 at 8:13 a.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds even and 18.75 inches.

What an amazing day we have had. Our new arrival is perfect in every way. He has a mop of black hair, kissable little lips, big hands and feet, his Daddy's chin, and a sweet disposition. He looks a little like Jameson but he definetly has his own thing going on :)

Surgery went well, better than I had expected. Something about the second time around that plays with your mind a little! But I didn't pass out, no puking and no pain so that is a success!!!

Jameson met his little brother today and let's just say he could of cared less ;) He was more interested in having the attention of all of his grandparents than worrying about the little baby in the bassinett.

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes, all of your thoughts and prayers were answered and we have a beautiful, HEALTHY baby boy!!!

JD is 15 months old!

Today we had Jameson's 15 month checkup. He freaked out the moment we walked in the office so apparently he knew he was getting shots :( I am sure that most parents can back me up on this, but kids get super human strength in doctors offices! It took 3 of us get him to sit on the scale to get his weight. It took 2 of us to hold him so Dr. Lisa could give him an exam and then 3 of us again to hold him to get his shots. And trust me we were all sweating after each task! But we all made it through and all looks normal and on target. He weighed in at 25 lbs.(this was sort of a guesstimate because he was not having the scale situation) and was 30.75 inches long.

We also went to our last doctor appointment before Baby #2 arrives. We had our last ultrasound to make sure that this baby was not following in his older brother's footsteps and we were relieved to see that he is doing just fine! All his anatomical parts are in the proper hemisphere :) We are a scheduled c section next Tuesday January 18th!!! And the baby looks huge!!! He was weighing in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. plus or minus 10% BUT I am only 36.5 weeks! So if I was to carry full term we are talking a big ol baby!!! We can't wait to meet our little man and introduce him to his big brother!!! It's going to be a great week!

Come back soon to meet the newest Kirkland :)

NYE Day at the Zoo

We went to the Phoenix Zoo on Friday morning! They had what they called Noon Years Eve! There was snow trucked in, Radio Disney was there, face painting (check out Mason's scorpion) and a cider toast at noon! It was really really cold (by Phoenix standards) that morning so the kids were not amused with the snow thing :( But they did have a great time at the "farm" area!
P.S. The John Deere pic is for you Mimi :)

Amateur Fireworks

Us Zoni's have just been given the pleasure of legally being able to purchase and set off our own fireworks. So, of course, my family had to have their own fireworks display on New Years Eve :) I stayed inside because it was 30 degrees and took some video of the action

Mylie Jo Turns 2!!!

Well our little sweet and sassy niece has turned 2!!! On New Year's Eve morning 2008 we were blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl to our family and her name is Mylie Jo Hunt. Being born on NYE is definetly in her blood because she is the life of the party everyday. Mylie has a strong personality that is going to come in handy with all of her boy cousins and brother :) Counting the Weitzel/Kirkland and Hunt side she will have 1 brother and 5 boy cousins!!! She will also be forced to do all of the girlie things that me, Kelley and my mom will make her do :)
We love you so much sweet girl and can't wait for the coming year to see you grow and hear what comes out of the chatty mouth next ;)
