Welcome to Seattle!!!

Well we have officially moved to Seattle!!! Andy took a job with Starbucks Corporate, kind of his dream job :) Andy moved Memorial Day Weekend and the kids and I flew out on July 5th. We chose an area called West Seattle. We chose this part of the city for many reasons but the main ones were its proximity to Starbucks (Andy has been using mass transit to commute) and to downtown (10 min. from all the happenings) and its quaint neighborhood feeling. This is a cool website to see all the happenings in our new neighborhood

So another draw to this area is the adorable houses. Here is ours.......isn't it cute!!!!

Our families really stepped up to help us with this move. My dad and Steve (my brother-in-law) helped load the POD (the container that held most of our belongings) and then came back a week later and helped load the trailer that took the rest of our stuff that Andy pulled behind my Tahoe. My mom, Gail and my sister helped me out with the kids while all this packing and loading was going on. Then Andy's parents flew to Seattle a week before me and the kids got here and helped Andy unload the POD and trailer and unpacked almost everything!!! I am not kidding when we showed up the house was a home not a mess of boxes! I can not tell you how helpful this was. I would love to say that I have this whole mother of two babies thing down but I don't! I barely get my teeth brushed in a day so to think of unpacking our entire lives and putting it away properly was extrememly daunting. Luckily my in-laws rock and I didn't have to worry about it! I'm a lucky girl.
Also my mom flew to Seattle with me and the boys. That was a huge help as well! Not sure how I would have done that that without her. I did realize that I will not be flying by myself with them for a long time! Here are a few pics from the flight. This was Hudson's first flight!

And when we finally arrived at the house JD took a seat on the front steps and gave a little grin as to say, "I'm home!"
