Mimi and Pops came to visit last weekend to go to the Polar Express with us and celebrate Christmas! On Friday we drove up to Williams, AZ and boarded the Polar Express. If you do not know what this is I will briefly explain. There is a book and movie called The Polar Express. The gist is the children in the movie board this train to the North Pole and some crazy things happen along the way. So we boarded a real train and it took us to the "North Pole". They serve you hot chocolate and cookies and read the story as we make our way north. After reaching the North Pole, Santa boards the train and visits all the kids and gives each of them a jingle bell! Then you sing Christmas songs and make your way back to the train depot. It is super cute to see the kids faces light up with joy at each special event. This is the second time my family has gone to the Polar Express. We took Mason when he was 3 and Kelley was prego with Mylie but this was JD's and Mylie's first trip and also Dean and Marie's! Special times :) We are still downloading pictures and videos from this trip so those will post at a later date. Sorry folks there are hours of footage to get through ;)
We headed back to Phoenix on Saturday and enjoyed the 75 degree weather we had that weekend. I think Dean and Marie were enjoying their shorts in December (you don't wear those much in Michigan) We did Kirkland Christmas Saturday night and I do have pictures to prove this :) We had a great visit and can't wait for Mimi and Pops to come back in January for the birth of baby #2!!! Only 4 weeks to go.......where does the time go!
The first gift JD got to open was this Radio Flyer Horse that sings and talks! Oh and of course a cowboy hat to go with it :)
JD loves to "help" me vacuum so somehow Dean and Marie found a mini Dyson vacuum cleaner that looks just like our real one!!! And it actually sucks things up, so he really can help me :)
And then there was the gift for Mommy and Daddy :) The BOB Duallie jogging stroller!!!!! Couldn't live without my single BOB so I was so elated when the double arrived. Mama wants her body back after baby #2 and the BOB Duallie will be the answer to these prayers :) Oh and Scout was playing the role of Baby #2 ;)
